SEIU Earth Day event

Way way back on Earth Day, David with the Health and Wellness group at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), mentioned that they were doing a bunch of bicycle classes and seminars on Earth Day, and asked if we could help out. CIGNA kicked in some cash, we provided a Specialized Crossroads Sport at a discount, and they had themselves a raffle.

Here's Jason, the lucky winner. Inspired by SEIU's great event, he's going to give commuting a try, once he gets a few weekend miles under his belt. Many fledgling commuters are wise to find a 'mentor,' an experienced commuter to provide advice on the little details, like what to wear in particular weather, or diagnosing little creaks and groans.This is David, from SEIU, an experienced commuter, and happy rider of a Specialized Globe City purchased at City Bikes. David has pledged to help Jason get up and running with cycling, and hopefully commuting, and we'll check back in with them in a few months to see how it's going.
